About Perfect Paradise
The island serves as a platform for our group to experiment with living in intentional communities. Apart from trying the idea ”in practice” we hope to be able to inform visitors about Intentional community.

Why Intentional Community (IC)?
Look. We are genuinely concerned about the state of the world and what we are handing on to coming generations. We fear a general downturn in economic growth and all the hardships that come with it. Should by fate the world escape, we still feel the materialistic culture of individualism and racing to fill the world with as much concrete as possible, is not worthy of being handed over.

One key to turning development in a sustainable direction is the power of community. Together, with respect for the dignity of individuals and with kindness and love we can create a better life for ourselves on a lot less, treading lightly on the planet. Yet in practice we know little of how to work together. Nine of ten attempts at intentional community fail.
SL provides a “safe” environment to try out this other way of living.

What we want to achieve on our Island.
We want to try out living together in a simple way in a beautiful place. Second life allows us to focus on just the community aspect of sustainable development, leaving the technical side to other sims like the fantastic creation of our friends at Etopia.

What we offer
As a visitor you are welcome to explore, meet us, and access the information we have discovered. Should you want to commit to joining our experiment you are welcome to take part in the orientation sessions. Residents commit to share the sims expenses and take part in the work of the community, including the various ongoing IC projects.

Above all, we hope you will enjoy your time on our Island and with us, so your SL experience is one of fun, good company and learning.
